Who?
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) — Co-chair, Congressional UAP Caucus; Oversight Committee
LISTEN: Laslo & Burchett
Ask a Pol asks:
What do you want to hear at the November 13th UAP hearing?
Key Burchett:
“Disclosure. Full disclosure,” Rep. Tim Burchett exclusively tells Ask a Pol. “I won't get that...”
ICYMI — Nancy Mace previews witnesses to Ask a Pol
Caught our ear:
“We're trying to get some good witnesses there. We don't want to break them out too early like we did last time and then they get squashed,” Burchett says.
Ever been in James Webb Space Telescope briefing?
“I do not believe I have. Somebody asked — I saw a tweet today and I was like, ‘Dude, I don't know anything about it,’” Burchett tells us.

TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Tim Burchett
SCENE: Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo catches up with Burchett in the US Capitol as he heads to one of the last votes before Congress gaveled out of session until after November’s elections.
Matt Laslo: “I’m not gonna see you for a few months.”
Laslo chuckles.
Tim Burchett: “Allegedly. You’ll see in your mind.”
ML: “What do you think happened with UAPDA [in NDAA National Defense Authorization Act]?”
TB: “I don't know, I didn't hear. What happened?”
ICYMI — Sen. Wicker on UAPDA in 2024 NDAA
ML: “We’ll see...”
TB: “Okay. I don't know…”
ML: “…it’s [Senate Majority Leader] Schumer’s UAPDA.”
TB: “I don't expect anything from it. I expect eventually they'll cover it or create some bureaucracy that oversees it and we'll never see anything.”
ML: “Have you ever been in a briefing on the James Webb Space Telescope?”
TB: “I do not believe I have. Somebody asked — I saw a tweet today and I was like, ‘Dude, I don't know anything about it.’”
ML: “Yeah? Fair. What do you want to hear in November?”
TB: “Disclosure. Full disclosure. And then — I won't get that…”
Burchett points to a female colleague approaching.
Female colleague: “What’d I do now?”
TB: “It's you, baby.”
ML: “But [Chair Nancy] Mace just told me that you guys are still in dialogue about the witnesses?”
TB: “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're trying to get some good witnesses there. We don't want to break them out too early like we did last time and then they get squashed.”
ML: “Yep.”
