TRANSCRIPT: Sen. Mark Warner
SCENE: After staking out the classified Senate Intelligence hearing Nov. 19th briefing in the Senate Hart Office Building for more than an hour, Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo — along with a few other reporters and a handful of Capitol Police officers — Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Mark Warner was the last senator to emerge from the SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility).
Matt Laslo: “Did any mention of — did Langley come up in there?”
Mark Warner: “Pardon?”
ML: “Was any of that focus on the Langley incursion?”
MW: “No.”
ML: “No?”
MW: “No.”
ML: “Because, you know, Gillibrand’s doing a public UAP hearing here at 4:30?”
MW: “I’m familiar.”
ML: “But was that AARO folks in there?”
Warner shakes head no.
ML: “No?”
MW: “No.”
ML: “Totally separate?”
Warner shakes head in affirmative.
ML: “Yeah.”
MW: “Totally separate.”
ML: “Yeah, yeah.”
MW: “And we are, umm…”
Elevator bell dings, then dongs.
MW: “… I've got more to do on that one too, so…”
ML: “Yeah.”
MW: “Come meet me, hit me in a couple of days.”
Warner enters the Senator’s Only elevator.
ML: “There's a lot — there's a lot flying at us these days, sir.”
Warner nods affirmatively.
ML: “Preciate ya.”
Elevator doors close on the conversation…
