ICYMI — Ask a Pol at last SCIF briefing
THIS EPISODE:
Who?
Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) — Congressional UAP Caucus & Oversight
LISTEN: Laslo & Burlison
Ask a Pol asks:
Got any updates on anything?
Key Burlison:
“I don't. [US House Speaker Mike] Johnson has said nothing. He’s had no response,” Burlison exclusively tells Ask a Pol. “I'm just trying to plow forward with what tools I have, which is why I’m organizing this briefing from AARO in a SCIF. I'm doubtful that we're going to hear the truth from them, but at least, I think, that we just need to keep the ball rolling. We need to keep moving the ball forward.”
Caught our ear:
“In his mind, it's not a priority,” Burlison says of Speaker Johnson’s non-response to the Congressional UAP Caucus request for a UAP Subcommittee.
Below find a rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s exclusive interview with Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO), slightly edited for clarity.
TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Eric Burlison
Matt Laslo: “How you doin’ boss?”
Eric Burlison: “Hey. How are you?”
ML: “Have a good recess?”
EB: “Yes. You?”
ML: “I like it when you guys are outta town.”
EB: “I do too!”
ML: “Right?”
They laugh.
ML: “Got any updates on anything?”
EB: “I don't. I don't. I can — Johnson has said nothing.”
ML: “Yeah?”
EB: “He’s had no response.”
ML: “But, I mean, he’s gotta bring FISA, he’s got Ukraine, he's got a motion to vacate hanging over his head...”
EB: “Yeah. I think it's probably — in his mind, it's not a priority.”
ML: “Yeah? How do you guys make it a priority? Or is this the case to give you all the [UAP] subcommittee, so you don't have to go through Dad and Dad?”
*Student? Lost a gig? Hard times? Been there. Got you. No questions asked. Ping us.
EB: “I don't know. I think that for me, I'm just trying to plow forward with what tools I have, which is why I’m, like, organizing this briefing from AARO in a SCIF. I'm doubtful that we're going to hear the truth from them.”
ML: “Yeah?”
EB: “But at least, I think, that we just need to keep the ball rolling.”
ML: “Yeah?”
EB: “We need to keep moving the ball forward.”
ML: “When is that? That briefing?”
EB: “My staff have it.”
ML: “I can ping them.”
EB: “If you want to, ask my staff. It’s next week.”
ML: “Next week?”
EB: “Yeah.”
ML: “Who’s your staffer I should ping on this?”
EB: “Who’s my what?”
ML: “Who’s your staffer I should ping on this?”
EB: “Here. Follow me upstairs, I’ll show you.”
ML: “Oh, I was just gonna email em.”
EB: “Okay. It’s…”
Quick off the record moment so he can pass us his staffer’s name and info.
ML: “Cool, cool. I know the [House email] naming convention. Yeah, I'll ping him. And I'll see you outside the stakeout, if not sooner.”
EB: “Alright.”
ML: “Have a good one.”
EB: “See ya.”
