In an exclusive interview, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN)—while he was “mid grill”—previewed the next UFO hearing he’s preparing for after Speaker Kevin McCarthy promised him a second public investigatory hearing: “It's gonna be government. We've had the [whistleblower] witnesses, now we're gonna get the government in, and that's what I want to do.”
Burchett says that includes NASA’s newly announced research director for UAP.*
As for Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (IC IG) Thomas Monheim’s new letter to Burchett and company?
“It's just more of the same, dude. I got no faith in any of these people. They’re just trying to run the clock out,” Burchett says.
The congressman believes the IC IG office is covering up what it knows about UFO whistleblower David Grusch who—along with two Navy pilots with firsthand accounts of UFOs—testified in front of the House Oversight Committee at the end of July.
“The IC IG office did nothing to look into the information they received from David Grusch on UAP crash retrieval programs? They have no information they can give to Congress???” Burchett X-ed (*tweeted) earleir.
*Our apologies, because—as you’ll hear at the start of our impromptu e-grillside chat—after the House gaveled out of session around 4:30pm EST yesterday, neither Burchett nor me saw that NASA reversed itself last evening and publicly announced its new UAP position will be filled by former liaison between NASA and the Pentagon, Mark McInerney.
Still, if unelected government employees try to hide other unelected government employees from the American people again, Burchett wants them to know he’ won’t stand for it.
“I think it’s probably illegal,” Burchett says.
Burchett’s not the only one.
