Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC) is a freshman senator, but he spent three terms in the House of Representatives before moving to the upper chamber. So he knows Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) and other members of the Congressional UAP Caucus.

Budd, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, exclusively tells Ask a Pol he’s monitoring the Grusch investigation, though not actively investigating his claims.

“I’ve paid attention to it,” Budd told Ask a Pol. “I’ve not done a deep dive.”

Below find a rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s interview with Sen. Ted Budd, slightly edited for clarity.

Matt Laslo: “Have you looked into or heard of this UAP/UFO whistleblower David Grusch?”

Ted Budd: “Um, no. Just top line. What’s the question behind the question?”

ML: “I’m just curious, so yeah, I’m just fishing cause some senators are really investigating it. And next week the House is going to do a hearing on it.”

TB: “That's the one that Burchett’s leading, right?”

ML: “Yeah. It’ll be interesting.”

TB: “I’ve paid attention to it. I’ve not done a deep dive.”

ML: “Yeah, you got a day job. Appreciate ya, have a good one.”

Both laugh.
