SCENE: After voting on the House floor, Luna talks to some national news outlets on the Capitol steps before Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo scores this exclusive, if brief, interview with the congresswoman before she hops in an awaiting car.
Matt Laslo: “Hey, how are you, ma’am?”
Anna Paulina Luna: “Hey, what’s going on?”
ML: “Are we gonna see a UAP hearing before August?”
APL: “Yeah, actually, so we were supposed to do it before August recess, but obviously the things didn’t develop. So we'll hopefully get it on books for September/October, but we are for sure doing one.”
ML: “Yeah?”
APL: “It'll be under Oversight [Committee] and we’ll have a different chairman that will be leading it up, but it’ll be good.”
ML: “Not [Rep. Glenn] Grothman this time?”
APL: “No, not Grothman this time.”
ML: “Why not? Or…”
APL: “Just cause of the different committees for timing.”
ML: “Will it be one of you all from the UAP Caucus?”
APL: “We will be there, but we'll have a chairwoman.”
ML: “A chairwoman?”
Luna smiles knowingly.
APL: “That's all your hints for now.”
ML: “All right. Preciate ya.”
APL: “Bye.”
Reporter: “Hi.”
