Who?
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA)
Ask a Pol asks:
“Kinda surprised to see you there, because you weren’t at the previous SCIF briefing. What made you — what put that one on your radar?”
Key Khanna
“The gist would be, I’m on Oversight [Committee]. There’s been a lot of interest in it from the media and my constituents, so I wanted to hear about it.”
Caught our ear
“I just ended up with more questions. Unanswered questions that need to be pursued.“

TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Ro Khanna
SCENE: Laslo sees Khanna waiting for an elevator in the US Capitol and hops on.
Matt Laslo: “I was curious about your thoughts, cause you were in that SCIF briefing, the follow-up on the David Grusch — the whistleblower…”
Ro Khanna: “Right.”
ML: “What do you glean from that?”
Ro Khanna: “I just ended up with more questions. Unanswered questions that need to be pursued.“
ML: “I was kinda surprised to see you there, because you weren’t at the previous SCIF briefing. What made you — what put that one on your radar?”
RK: “Umm. The gist would be, I’m on Oversight [Committee]. There’s been a lot of interest in it from the media and my constituents, so I wanted to hear about it.”
ML: “And when he testified publicly — what would you say, about like half of what he said was ‘I can only answer your question in a SCIF’ and you said you left that with more questions, is that because of foot-dragging or because they didn’t have the right officials there?”
RK: “I think we need to have more hearings and more briefings on it. It’s a bipartisan issue, and I’m pretty confident we will.”
ML: “And what are your questions? What questions do you have?”
RK: “I don’t want to — it’s hard to do that without getting into things that are classified.”
ML: “I don’t want you in jail.”
They laugh.
ML: “Preciate ya. Have a good one.”
