Ask a Pol asks:

Since your comments in the public Nov. 13, 2024 Oversight Committee hearing on UAPs people have been asking me — and they're curious — you said, ‘people have pressured us to not…’ — was there anyone specifically pressuring you? Was that inside Congress? Or outside?

Key Moskowitz:

“Every time we try to have a hearing we get push back,” Moskowitz exclusively told Ask a Pol. “And that's what it is.”

So it’s internal?

“Yes,” Moskowitz said.

TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Jared Moskowitz

SCENE: After casting his last vote of 2024 — to avert a government shutdown — Rep. Moskowitz is rushing to an awaiting car and then the airport when Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo snags a quick, if informative, interview.

Matt Laslo: “Wanted to ask you real quick…”

Jared Moskowitz: “Sure.”

ML: “…what do you make of this debate about drones and incursions and stuff? Do you think it's good that it's broadening the debate? Or is that just a totally different topic?”

JM: “Yes, I think it's a totally different topic. I think more people are now paying attention to this issue, but this is something Congress now clearly has to deal with.”

ML: “Yeah?”

JM: “This is now — even without the government telling us all of the information, these incursions near airports are now a significant danger to the public.”

ML: “Yeah?”

Moskowitz opens the door to his awaiting car.

ML: “People have been asking me and they're curious: When you had your questions in that hearing, you said, ‘people have pressured us to not…’ — was there anyone specifically? Was that inside Congress? Or outside?”

JM: “It’s, it’s — it’s every time we try to have a hearing, right?”

ML: “Yeah.”

JM: “We get push back.”

ML: “Yeah?”

JM: “And that's what it is.”

ML: “Yeah.”

JM: “Right?”

ML: “So it’s internal?”

JM: “Yes.”

ML: “Thank you.“

Moskowitz shuts the door and they speed off to the airport.
