Who?
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) — Congressional UAP Caucus; Oversight Committee
LISTEN: Laslo & Moskowitz
Ask a Pol asks:
During the Nov. 13th public UAP hearing, you used fight club as an example…
Key Moskowitz:
“Well, this is the first guy [Luis Elizondo] who's come forward — he's got a legitimate background — Comes forward and says, ‘I was forced to sign a document.’ Ooh, that's interesting,” Rep. Jared Moskowitz exclusively tells Ask a Pol. “What’d the document say? ‘Well, it had a crash retrieval.’ Well, why have that in there? And that's when, you know, just popped in my head, ‘well, hold on a second, we can't talk about fight club, because there is a fight club.’”
ICYMI — Moskowitz
Caught our ear:
“I want the Speaker to do a Select Committee in the next Congress,” Moskowitz tells us. “Congress has an oversight function. We can't just give all the power to the executive. This is our function of oversight.”

Jared Moskowitz: “Yeah?”
Matt Laslo: “How do you think it went?”
JM: “What?”
ML: “The UAP hearing.”
JM: “Well, listen. I think we, as we've talked about, as we’ve been waiting for a second hearing, I think more people have questions. It's about fighting for greater government transparency. No one's jumping to any conclusions, but every time we ask a question or pull a thread, we get stonewalled. And that's what breeds more questions, and it's what breeds theories on why is it such a problem.”
ML: “Yeah? And now, your thing on fight club, like, do you walk away from this kinda convinced that...”
Rep. Moskowitz laughs.
JM: “Well, this is the first guy [Luis Elizondo] who's come forward — he's got a legitimate background.”
ML: “Yeah?”

ML: “Yeah? Yeah? And so do you — what do you want to see? How do you guys proceed?”
JM: “I want the Speaker to do a Select Committee in the next Congress.”
ML: “Cause some of the Republicans on the committee are saying — on the UAP Caucus — are saying, ‘Hey, we're gonna trust the Trump administration.’ What do you think?”
JM: “Well, the president has talked — the president-elect has talked about greater transparency on the issue, so let's see if promises made are promises kept.”
ML: “Yeah? But even so, even if he is — do you think the Select Committee would still be important, no matter...”
JM: “Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.”
ML: “And why? Because the tools...”
JM: “Because this is Congress’ — because Congress has an oversight function. We can't just give all the power to the executive. This is our function of oversight.”
ML: “Yeah? And right now, hearing that there's SAPs [Special Access Programs] in regards to this, from people who worked for those SAPs, does that kinda bolster your guys' argument? Even with your...?”
JM: “Listen, we know there's something there. We don't know exactly what it is, but we know they don't want to tell us.”
ML: “Yeah? There you go. Preciate ya.”
JM: “Appreciate you.”
