Rep. Luna hopes House UFO hearing reveals: “...it's very likely that there's other life forms out there...”
The freshman congresswoman has been tapped by Oversight Chair James Comer to co-lead his committee’s investigation into UAPs, aka UFOs.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has two goals for the House hearing into UFOs (or, now UAPS, according to NASA) that she’s scheduled to co-chair at some point in the near future.
“So what we're focusing on is, one, getting the information out to the American people: Clearly, this is a big galaxy that we live in and that there is very likely technology that we are unaware of where it’s come from—and so, does this pose a national security threat?” Luna tells Ask a Pol.
Number two:
“It's important that instead of trying to make this conspiratorial and poo-pooing it, that people are actually understanding that it's very likely that there's other life forms out there and that we're not alone in this universe and that we can address these things with a scientific mindset,” Luna says.
Last month, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer confirmed he tapped Luna and Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) to lead his committee’s investigation into new claims made by whistleblower David Grusch, who claims the federal government has recovered otherworldly craft. And also hidden it from Congress.
“So Burchett and Luna, on my committee, are the two that are kinda taking the lead in that. It’s interesting. It’s not an issue I’m an expert in so I don’t know anything about it, but apparently Burchett and Luna are so they’re really excited and our staffs are real excited about it,” Comer told Ask a Pol.
Matt Laslo’s raw, uncut & exclusive interview with Luna from earlier today (7-12-2023).
Rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s exclusive Luna interview, slightly edited for clarity.
Matt Laslo: “Hey, how are you Congresswoman?”
Anna Paulina Luna: “Hey, good. How are you doing?”
ML: “One day at a time. Has there been any update on the UAP investigation?”
APL: “So we're working on finalizing a date, but it's definitely happening. We have a lot of support, and we have some great witnesses. And I can't share the witnesses, yet.”
ML: “And now, Comer told me that at least two of the witnesses got scrapped and…?”
APL: “No, we have some great witnesses. You guys will see those names as soon as it becomes public information.”
ML: “Okay.”
APL: “But the people that we're bringing in have worked in previous administrations—Democrat, Republican. And, yeah, that's all I’m gonna give.”
ML: “Have you guys…are you going to be focusing on the whistleblower’s—Grusch’s mates? Trying to corroborate his story? I think, Gillibrand says that’s what she’s gonna do but sounds like you guys here are trying to be a little broader?”
APL: “So what we're focusing on is, one, getting the information out to the American people: Clearly, this is a big galaxy that we live in and that there is very likely technology that we are unaware of where it’s come from—and so, does this pose a national security threat?”
“And then, as far as UAP goes, I mean, the Air Force had a program called Project BLUE BOOK that was established, and there's archived information. We’re going to be pulling that information out and presenting that to the American people.
“But it's important that instead of trying to make this conspiratorial and poo-pooing it, that people are actually understanding that it's very likely that there's other life forms out there and that we're not alone in this universe and that we can address these things with a scientific mindset.”
ML: “Are you guys starting to hear—after Grusch came out—are you guys hearing from more whistleblowers inside the government? Or past ones?”
APL: “I think that people for a long time have had a piqued curiosity on this entire topic, and so as a result of that, we're simply trying to bring the facts out for the American people to let them decide, really, what they think is really out there.”
ML: “I’m gonna be watchin.”

I apologize for the repeating audio at the end. I flipped my iphone mic on when I saw the batteries on death's doorstep in my handheld mic (Marantz PMD 620 handheld, formerly what NPR outfitted its reporters with, and when Marantz discontinued em a few years back I bought 5! So small and compact. My mic for life).
Also, think I'm on 3 hours of sleep. What day is it?
Explanation; no excuses. Will do better fam.
