Who?
Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) — Chair, Foreign Relations Committee
Ask a Pol asked:
Do you think we’ll get any floor time on the AI and deepfake legislation?
Key Cardin:
“The Rules Committee, I think, is looking at this in conjunction to the elections. Trying to get something out ASAP,” Cardin told Ask a Pol.
“But this is gonna come down to foreign interference?”
“Well, we’ll find out,” Cardin replied. “We might have some interest in that.”

ML: “But this is gonna come down to foreign interference. Parts of it, but still.”
BC: “Well, we’ll find out.”

BC: “We might have some interest in that.”
ML: “Do you think we’ll get any floor time? It just doesn’t feel like this is a thing.”
BC: “It’s a big — it’s a big deal, yeah. We’re trying to take care of the election issue first.”
ML: “Yeah? Preciate ya.”
